Beck Vissat
Executive Director & President
Beck Vissat is the Executive Director of Birdie's House Community Development. A real estate developer based in Washington, DC, Beck has spent his career focused on affordable housing acquisition, preservation, and operations across Wards 7 and 8 — with deep operational fluency in DCHA voucher programs, TOPA transactions, LIHTC capital stacks, and DC property tax exemption structures. Through his for-profit platform, Beck has acquired and stabilized multifamily properties serving low-to-moderate-income families. Birdie's House Community Development formalizes the nonprofit mission that has guided that work — vertically integrating the family-stabilization, placement, and community-preservation activities that quality affordable housing operations depend on. Beck serves as one member of the Board; all transactions involving any entity affiliated with Beck's for-profit platform are reviewed and approved by the independent Board majority under the organization's Conflict of Interest Policy.
